5.0 out of 5 stars. Rich Emerald ColorVerified Buyer Reviewed by BMW from Columbus Ohio on Tuesday, July 22, 2014Rich Emerald Color. As advertised: Superlight, packable and 800 fill Marmot Zeus down vest. My purpose is to use it as a lightweight ski mid-layer.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Fit Finish & Color But Lite on DurabilityReviewed by BMW from Columbus Ohio on Saturday, February 22, 2014Very impressed with the color. Even richer in person. I'd also call it a deep emerald green. Quality fit and finish product but the materials on todays ultra light weight packable vest seem far to delicate to me. I see another buyer commented on that too. My new Columbia vest is the same. I have no need to have an expensive down vest pack down into the size of a sandwich bag. I need/buy an 800 fill down vest for warmth and layering not a sandwich bag. I can understand your not trying to build these for construction work but all these light weight vest lack material durability. Regarding Size: Always pay close attention to individual manufacture sizes (e.g. XL = 46 to 49 chest size) before ordering. I'm a 47 chest. XL is the usual size for me but Marmot sizing on this vest runs one inch smaller than Columbia vest which I also ordered one in XL. So I choose to go 2XL as one can see from the photo this is a more tapered vest for layering under jackets and I have a 43inch waist.. Both the Columbia XL and 2XL fit perfectly. I'm keeping both for Skiing and hiking.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Amazing stuff from marmotReviewed by Scott from NYC on Wednesday, February 19, 2014Been using the Zeus jacket with a light t shirt under in NYC during this awful winter and the jacket was amazing so figured a no brainer to pick up the vest.
Fits same, doesn't even feel like you're wearing a thing and keeps you warm in winter and doesn't hear you up when it's warm out. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice vest, but not for the rugged.Reviewed by Anonymous from Washington state on Wednesday, February 5, 2014Bought this vest a few months back at a considerable discount from STP, good deal. Handsome design and very warm. Keep in mind this vest is 800 fill. Can't wait to get outdoors and active in sub-freezing temps and you start out wearing this garment because it's cold, but before long you will be working up a sweat and shedding down to a base layer. And I'm not talking about Alpine skiing and hanging out at the lodge, but hiking through snow, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, and maybe hiking back up the mountain if you happen to be snowboarding in the backcountry. Lightweight, warm and packable yes, and would have been great back at the camp warming up inside the tent, but not the sturdiest design for working up a sweat. After 2 weeks of sweating out the vest threw it in the wash with the rest of the laundry and the collar got shredded. The silky synthetic shell sure looks and feels nice, but didn't hold up in the regular wash. Be aware that this vest wasn't built with the sturdiest design and might need some special care and a hand-wash or dry cleaning for some serious laundering.
