5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Shoes

I bought these shoes for my husband and he says they are comfortable enough to wear daily but also sturdy enough for a rugged hike along the North Shore of Lake Superior, which we just did this past weekend. He says they fit well and are true to size.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Not what I expected

These shoes looked good out of the box and the Ghilley laces draw up nicely. However, the suede fabric showed permanent wrinkles and discoloration across the bend of the toes after just an hour of wear in the house. Also, they make the outside of the balls of both feet ache. I believe that it is from a combination of being a bit narrow and the way that the footbed is designed. It might go away as they break in, but I expect to see stretch marks on the outside of where they rub the balls of my feet. I would not expect these shoes to be durable for any serious hiking.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Very comfortable

I was hesitant to buy a shoe brand I was unfamiliar with, but the description and STP price lead me to decide and give them a try. Right out of the box I wore them for a 10 hour work day, and they proved to be very comfortable and sturdy. I wear them a lot going for walks, and I am impressed. Still have not tried them hiking trails yet, but I am really happy with my purchase; they fit true to size, good heel support, and plenty of room in the toe box. Also, I really like the arch support these shoes provide. I give them 4 stars only because I don't know how they will wear over time.

I've only logged about 6 miles so far. they are getting more comfortable as they break-in. Sturdy with good grip and good looking to boot.
