cord to tighten to keep the rain out and unlike some others, the cinch cord is not long and sticking out to catch on every branch you pass. These mittens have become my go-to hand covers for work or play outdoors. -

Nice Mitten for the PriceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Living the Dream from Colorado on Friday, October 31, 2014for the price, can't be beat. these are very lightweight and will serve the purpose as one season mittens or as a backup mittens. very basic with wriststrap and cynch cord. not for heavy duty use. things missing are nose wipe on thumb, removeable insert, or gauntlet straps for when mitten is off. my main mittens have all these. but will use these as backups or for warmer days on the slopes. i normally wear a large and do not have big hands. i needed an XL in this mitten to give enough finger room when hands are curled around a ski pole.
