5.0 out of 5 stars. magnificent sleeping bag

Had my eye on this sleeping bag for a few months, but was always SOLD OUT. I was able to get my hands on one before it sold out again. If you have the chance, or should I say the privilege to buy one, get it before they sell out. This is the best sleeping bag I own, out of the other major brands I have. Really good loft in the bag and keeps me toasty and warm during cold weather camping. Top quality you would expect from Marmot. I also own one of their backpacking tents, with the same top notch quality. Can't go wrong with anything Marmot makes.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. comfy

My first mummy. Went backpacking with this bag. It stuffed nicely into the included stuff sack. I might try a compression bag to get it even smaller. The bag was warm down to 30 degrees that night. I used an Alps liner with it and that was great. There was plenty of foot room and the bag turned with me. Love the loud colors! I slept with my performance long underwear on. I believe the bag would be comfortable down to 15 degrees with a z lite and air mattress.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality bag

Great quality bag! Definitely shorter than 6'. I'm 5'8.5" and just a couple of inches to spare. I'd definitely go with the long if you're 6'. Weight on our scale is 2#10oz, not 2#7oz as specified. Down is lofty and warm. Would probably be tight for bigger frame, but perfect for slimmer folk. Quality you expect from marmot at a great price!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
