4.0 out of 5 stars. Roomy mummy bagVerified Buyer Reviewed by Scout Dad from Missouri on Wednesday, April 1, 2015This is by far the roomiest mummy bag I've ever used. It was more than warm enough for temperatures in the low 20's on a recent boy scout trip. I stayed plenty warm while many other adult leaders were cold. I would highly recommend this for car camping and scout camping. It's a bit big for backpacking, but it could be used.
All in a great buy and I suggested to many of my co leaders -
3.0 out of 5 stars. solid, but coldReviewed by Anonymous from california on Friday, February 27, 2015Seems to be a well built quality bag.
The good:
very good price
Roomy
Comfortable
Quality materials
Strong stuff sack
The bad:
Cold for a 0 degree bag
Zipper snags a bit
Hood doesn't close tight enough for real cold weather
Insulation distribution
Packs very large
I used this bag on two occasions. Once in low 40's, and with the zipper vented it was very comfortable. The other was down to the low 30's and i was too cold to sleep. After two nights i switched to a backup alps mountaneering 20 deg bag and was warm enough to sleep great. The insulation is heavier on top than on bottom, which is great if u can keep from rolling around or the pad was somehow fixed to the bottom of the bag.
Great bag for car camping in mild cold.
Sierras excellent customer service took care of me and i exchanged for another bag.
