4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, but sizing a off

Got it in Medium. The length was for about 2" too long.
Side zip could be a convenient feature, however it restricted the movement because the zipper is thick.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice but runs large and long

Fit is a bit large and long. I'm 5'11 180lbs 33/34 waist. I got a size Large. These extended past my heels and several inches above my navel at the same time when pulled all the way up to my crotch, at which point the fly zip was well above the useful height. They were baggy enough in the legs and waist that I could (and am) going down a size. The legs are baggy enough to get extra layers under and to flex without restriction when skinning up, and Velcro tabs both inside and outside of the top zips will let you unzip to vent without the pants popping apart. They have a very high waist both front and back. I might wish it was a little lower in front, I don't typically get powder down the pants there, and it would be less sweaty on the uphills. Lower legs have plenty of room for big bulky ski boots. Construction seems like typical marmot high quality.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
