It's hard to beat Marmot for a great fitting & well thought out rain or snow jacket. I think this one is now discontinued and ST had the last few available. The Dark Rider is a little heavier then most ultra lite ski jackets. I use it as a storm jacket around the farm and wanted something more durable. This is it! Fairly quiet. The only improvement I could wish for is a better 2 way zipper for even more range of motion.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building.
