Subject says it all... runs a bit on the big side compared to Merrell (these are a hair on the big side at 46, whereas Merrells are perfect to a bit small at 46.5)
I love minimalist shoes. Have been wanting something that can pass for a work shoe... this fits the bill!

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. minamilists dream

These shoes are well-made, very light, and to me would make an excellent house-shoe. Unfortunately, the bottoms are
totally flat--not useful for a diabetic, so I had to return them.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Finally found some minimalist casual shoes

I've been wearing minimalist style athletic/running shoes for a few years now and finally decided I should try to find a similar design in casual shoes to replace the overly bulky ones I wear to work. So I found these and at a closeout price so I thought I would take a chance. Fortunately, the sizing was accurate. They appear to be well-constructed and offer the barefoot feel I was looking for. If there is anything I could complain about, and it's a minor thing, it is that they are slightly noisy when walking on a tile floor.

About VivoBarefoot

Having suffered from several foot injuries during his tennis career, Tim Brennan eventually decided that his conventional athletic shoes were to blame and set about creating his own. By the time he officially launched VivoBarefoot shoes in 2004, Brennan had already spent five years on research and development, which included input from sixth generation shoemaker Galahad Clark. At the time, VivoBarefoot running shoes and tennis shoes were the first minimalist athletic shoes engineered with ultra-thin, puncture-resistant soles designed to offer lightweight shock absorption and sensory feedback. The concept took off, and minimalist footwear has been gaining momentum ever since. Today, VivoBarefoot shoes are available in more than 50 different models, from trail running shoes to chukkas. Vivo the revolution.
