I've never had this problem before, nor have I ever had to buy wide shoes. Such a bummer!!

These are soft and have a lower heel so they are easy to wear. The only downside I could find is the arch support is lacking, but an insert should alleviate the problem.

I found it true-to-size, but with one small design issue: The footbed sides are slightly cupped on the sides between the heel and toe (you can see this in the photo). I don't think this would be a problem for a narrower foot, and it's not a problem for me - just a different fit. Beautiful shoe and comfortable, otherwise.
