5.0 out of 5 stars. Best Pack!

I give this bag a 5 star because it is so well made and the designers thought of many details to put in this bag. If you are looking for a medium size bag for hiking or for school this is it. Don't hesitate and lose the opportunity! I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this bag. I found I liked it even more when I got it. First off I am not a large person and thought the bag would be too large but it is not. It is spacious with two pockets in the main compartment to fit a laptop and an IPad if necessary. You can also fill it with your books or hiking/camping gear. The front compartment has many smaller pokcets to store all the little things with one zip pocket. The zippers and seams are secure and durable. The back has ample padding that forms to your body. It should also be rain resistant because the nylon they used is top quality. Hope that helps anyone looking at this backpack. Also I had no problems ordering from this site.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome small pack

Daytrip? This sucker is what you need. Lots of pockets to organize stuff, well constructed. Keep in mind this is a small pack. Would not use this for a overnight trip out in the boonies. 100oz bladder takes up half the usable room in the main compartment. Has very good support straps and very comfortable. Bouldering and day hiking is what this bag was meant for. As a school pack? No, I don't think it handles more than 1 class worth textbooks. Too small.

Nice quality, but too small for day hiking.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
