Not sure it would make them any more comfortable. I am 5’8, 128 lb, size 6, and M was way too small. Would go at least one size up, maybe two if you are actually planning to climb in these.

It is a very well made jacket that should hold up the entire winter. Unfortunately, my son is a little rough on clothing and the liner looks to be fairly thin and not made of ripstop material, but only time will tell. So far I am very pleased with the price and the quality!
