The earrings are heavy and they drooped a little. I took the backings off and put on the kind with the plastic disk on the back. You can find them at local craft stores in the jewelry section. Problem solved! The pendant is heavy too. It looks substantial on the neckline. You do need to find your own chain, but you probably have one at home that will work. I think the set is beautiful. I took off one star for the modifications I made to the earrings and having to add my own chain. This is a very good price for sterling silver and pearls.
