Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Exceptional design shoe.

These shoes seem big at first but that's because there is absolutely no compression in the area of the toe box to allow for full spreading of the foot thus simulating barefoot walking. They feel like Nike Free running shoes.

The leather looks fine with an amazingly snug fit around the heel and a semi-tactile sole. The STP discounted price was very good and I'm glad that I gave these a try.

These shoes are for casual dress days where the outside exposure to the elements is not encountered or minimized. They are not winter shoes, rain shoes, or hiking shoes.

About VivoBarefoot

Having suffered from several foot injuries during his tennis career, Tim Brennan eventually decided that his conventional athletic shoes were to blame and set about creating his own. By the time he officially launched VivoBarefoot shoes in 2004, Brennan had already spent five years on research and development, which included input from sixth generation shoemaker Galahad Clark. At the time, VivoBarefoot running shoes and tennis shoes were the first minimalist athletic shoes engineered with ultra-thin, puncture-resistant soles designed to offer lightweight shock absorption and sensory feedback. The concept took off, and minimalist footwear has been gaining momentum ever since. Today, VivoBarefoot shoes are available in more than 50 different models, from trail running shoes to chukkas. Vivo the revolution.
