3.0 out of 5 stars. AverageReviewed by Anonymous from New York State on Tuesday, January 31, 2017I've had these boots since the Summer of 2016. They never had very good support and the toebox is tight. This led to numb toes. The traction is also sub-par, but passable. After using them on and off for a season, they are absolutely useless in any depth of snow. This is interesting because the Vibram sole is pretty durable. There's very little wear on the traction. It's just a bad pattern.
The waterproofing, although not GTX, is excellent, and I've never gotten wet feet in snow and walking through streams. The build quality is excellent and it's a durable boot. I like the lacing pattern, which lent to a solid and customizable fit. I have low-volume feet and this makes it difficult to find laces that don't bottom out and become useless (most are made for much fatter feet). These had enough to keep my feet stable in the boot. Sizing seemed accurate. I usually get a size US 10 or EUR 44. This boot has some odd sizing and listed the US size at 10 and EUR as 43 2/3. Heel to toe it was an excellent fit. Toe width, again, was not what I'd expect from a hiker (pretty tight).
The leather and the synthetic upper was bulletproof and took a beating. The removable insole turned to cardboard within a short period of time.
All-in-all not a bad boot, but with some caveats. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Not on par.....Reviewed by Woody W. from WI / Middle East on Friday, October 21, 2016Purchased these as a summer alternative to the traditional backpacking Asolos i wear overseas. Everything started well, but these seem to run small, causing foot and lower back pain (Maybe due to lack of cushion/support im used to) and unfortunately that realization didnt hit home until i was already in the Middle East. Looking to replace these ASAP.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Most confortable hiking shoe, everVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Monday, November 30, 2015This is my second pair of Asolo Hiking footwear; my first pair was the low-rise version of these Trinity boots. They provide comfort and necessary gripping suitable for hiking on rugged terrain. I often worry about slipping on rough, uneven surfaces, and these boots really help navigate the various rocky paths encountered during steep hikes. My exact size is somewhere between 43.5 and 44, and Asolo actually measures the size of these boots at 43 and two thirds! Pretty amazing fit, and great price from Sierra. Boots like this cost a small fortune, even if you are buying them in Europe.

4.0 out of 5 stars. No Speed Lace HooksReviewed by perrynillup from South Jersey on Friday, November 6, 2015Fantastic shoe, fits perfect, but hard to get on and off. The top eyelet is not a "speed lace hook."

4.0 out of 5 stars. Narrow foot-good fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Happy trails from New York on Friday, June 19, 2015While looking for a lightweight hiking boot, I read reviews that said if you have a narrow foot, this is the boot for you. Having an 8A, it is difficult to find shoes and boots that aren't too wide. These boots fit me perfectly and the lacing system allows me to wear both heavy and lighter socks. At last, a boot fit for the narrow foot.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Way too narrowVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from CA on Monday, April 13, 2015Excellent construction and materials and great heal pocket...but BEWARE of the ultra narrow fit from the ball of the foot forward. My foot measures US Men's 7.5 D (medium). I ordered this boot in US Men's 8 (med)...it was so narrow that my foot tingled from the compression. Unless you want a rock climbing ultra tight fit with no socks, this boot is a no go as a lised medium width. Bottom line: only consider this boot if you have a very narrow foot and be sure to go up a half size over your street shoe. Don't make the same mistake I made and be saddled with return shipping. Cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars. PleasedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Vincenzo4 from Washington DC on Monday, March 30, 2015Great foot placement, and continued wear assigns the boot to your foot. Pleased. My first, bit not my last Asolo. Marvelous.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Really narrowReviewed by Txsmaverick from Houston on Saturday, February 21, 2015The sizing is on, I wear an 11 and the 11 was the right size but the boot is really narrow. I have a medium width foot and these boots were too tight. I liked the boot and the look and they seemed well made, typical Asolo and the price was awesome.
