5.0 out of 5 stars. Love them!Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Friday, April 17, 2015I was looking for a boot with more ankle support as I had a injury awhile back and found wearing a brace while hiking was not comfortable. So far they are very comfortable and plenty roomy in the toe box. I did go up half a size and I'm glad I did as wearing them with mid-weight socks is perfect but I do like more room around my toes.

4.0 out of 5 stars. These are OK. I had hoped for something differentVerified Buyer Reviewed by chamisa68 from colorado on Friday, December 5, 2014These are OK for the sale price. As someone else has said, you can feel every pebble under your feet. Curiously thin (?) soles. I was somewhat surprised that my normal size 7 fit just perfectly. I had ordered a 7.5 also just because some reviews indicated that they recommended that you order a half size up. I found the 7.5 to be very large for me and I will return them. I can wear thick socks or thin with these, but unfortunately my arthritic big toe is bad with these no matter what I do.
My first "off road" experience with these was not good. It was on a steep hillside with lots of volcanic rocks of all sizes. I consistently slipped and slid on them. I will continue to wear them to the office and hope they become more comfortable as non-trail shoes. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy from Day 1Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Seattle on Tuesday, November 18, 2014Not yet used for trail hike but I've done several multi-mile walks around home. They were comfy from the first day. I have a wide front foot and use orthotics which fit fine after removing the removable footbed. Nice stiff sole for foot support but lightweight feel on the foot. I'll be using these for hiking in Death Valley soon and am looking forward to having them there. As always a great price too.

4.0 out of 5 stars. (Almost) Exactly Right!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Newly Retired from Missouri on Thursday, November 6, 2014These boots are perfect EXCEPT they are not rated waterproof. After online research AND field trips to expensive shoe stores for the touch and feel experience, I decided to order these from ST. They are comfortable, light, sturdy, and stylish. My previous experience with Keens cemented my decision to go with Keen Hiking Boots, and I am so pleased that I made the purchase. My "usual" shoe size runs between 9-10. The size 10 fits perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable right out of the box.Verified Buyer Reviewed by OC Hiker from CA on Saturday, October 11, 2014I am an avid hiker and these boots fill the bill for longer hikes in the mountains. I ordered a 1/2 size larger since some said that they run small. There is lots of room I the toe box, which I really like.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Cute but too smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Travel from East Bay on Monday, May 28, 2012Nice shoes but didn't realize they ran a size smaller. Received great customer service in helping me find the right size and type of summer hiking shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Please break them in ...Reviewed by Grand Canyon Girl from California on Tuesday, June 14, 2011I bought these boots in preparation for an REI hike down and around the Grand Canyon. The hike was rated strenuous. I bought these boots two months before the hike and used them to train in the mountains around around our house. I had no trouble with the boots on these hikes. First day of Grand Canyon we hiked 11 miles down to the Colorado River, over boulders and rough terrain. I had a few blisters and significant trauma to three toenails (which I have since lost). 3 more days of hiking didn't help the situation :) I know this was probably about me and the fact I did not think about my feet at all given the terrain was new to me and often treacherous. So many people have said they didn't need a break in time I just wanted to add that if you are going to do a strenuous hike, take the time to break the Keens in properly beforehand. Many people wore lighter, more flexible boots and their feet fared much better in the Grand Canyon.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by desert girl from az on Monday, February 28, 2011As usual with Keens, these fit great and feel wonderful. I sized up a half size as I usually do with Keens, and they are perfect. So comfortable. I love them. I wish that they came in a water repellant style.
